The MOD uses competency based questions for their interviews which means that if you can demonstrate the skill they are looking for you will likely get the job. It takes out bias (I suppose) but doesn't account for intangible qualities, personality and skills. This means they could hire a candidate that can do their job but their personality could be a determent to the team, morale and culture.
