Firmware Development Engineer Interview Questions

2,356 firmware development engineer interview questions shared by candidates

Interview was rescheduled twice with < 24hrs notice, resulting in me having to make alternative arrangements twice in a row with my current job to accommodate for the interview. Asked me questions about my internship when I was in my second year of university which was almost 10 years ago. Not sure how my mentality and work I did 10 years ago as a six month intern relates to present day. Lack of preparation for interview on Baraja end - I was asked to go into detail about what I did at my past jobs, and then was cut off midway through and asked if I did any programming at my first internship. Once answered no, we moved on. If they took 10 minutes to read my CV I was asked to send them weeks ago, they would have had a baseline understanding of what I did. Technical part of the interview were questions related to embedded systems. Semi-difficult questions, however for someone who is well versed in embedded systems I'm sure they won't be too hard to answer. I was quite clear with my level of experience and where I wanted to grow my skillset. Not sure what level of experience the company is looking for, but it seems like they want someone who is in their near senior level of experience to come in. Upon reflection, not sure how I would have felt about joining a company that has had such a large head growth in such a short period of time. Usually this means they have projects they need to push forward, and once those projects are done, you're then made redundant. Interviewers were great people, and had great industry experience. I was given a tour of the office via video call.
