Within a day, was emailed that my application was rejected and that wikiHow would not provide reasons for the decision. After 30 years of writing how-to guides for students, writing freelance articles for a wide audience, and a career in teaching and editing, I found it strange to be so summarily rejected--the first time my writing has been rejected. For a company based on the idea that anyone may learn how (and how not) to do (and not do) things, and to learn from mistakes, it seems poor practice then not to offer reasons for rejections, especially if rejections are based on writing skills. Skilled writers can be easily counseled to write in different voices for different audiences.
