For product management roles they seem to be looking for straight up design skills. I was asked more than once, in different ways, if I could do production-ready designs in photoshop. Also: "given stats on how people use every feature in an app, across hundreds of apps, and semantic understanding of what features are being used, how would you automate your job?"
