You experience and integrity and education is less important than the questionary. A lot of Video machines for interpretation is what they use on this days . I understand the video and VRI cost $ 0.20 to $0.40 cents per minute. I applied again because is hard to see those that do not speak English well struggle. Medicine / interpretation can’t be done trough a machine and expect 100% quality. Don’t take me wrong Medicine is the best and I love the mission of the Medical Center. I applied again to see if it click to someone in the department that my education and experience is valuable ( I was highly recommended but maybe me having kids was an issue, I was asked some personal questions) . All very friendly. I hope things change one day in the Interpreters department. I hope they get someone that knows the Interpretation and Translation business in WA.
