They were just talking to me to make sure I could speak the language.
I really didn't have a question that surprised me or was too difficult to answer. They mostly wanted to know how you would handle "sticky" situations you might encounter in the field as an Interpreter. Just be forthright so that they are able to best place you with which situation. Some people would be better qualified to work in a school setting whereas others might be better off interpreting for business managers
"What do you think about zoos and aquariums? Should we have them or not?" -- this can be a difficult question since it delves into ethics, but remember that zoos and aquariums have great educational purposes.
