Tell me about your previous work experience in Sales?
Most questions were standard "tell me about a time when..." and it was clear they were trying to get a sense of you as a person, not just a resume. You often work in small teams and cohesion is important.
Sales Experience
Do you work well under stress? How would you deal with an angry resident?
One question I did get asked repeatedly was "why Camden" -- to which I replied that I had heard great things about the company as a workplace and that the employees I knew were very happy (this is true - I'd actually been referred by one such employee). The in person interviews seemed to really be about them seeing if my personality and communication skills were a good fit. I was not asked too much about my background during these -- I was the one who brought up relevant experience. Instead, I got the sense that they wanted to see that I was outgoing and could be engaging with others. This makes sense as it is a public-facing sales role that involves meeting a lot of potential clients, leading them on tours, and then getting as many leases signed as possible (among other things).
