Why Riot
Test includes about 7 pages of translation work to be done through Google docs. They email you the doc at an agreed upon time and you must submit your work an hour after you received the test. First is a proofreading section to test your grammar, then various entries on translation from English to German including item names, character abilities, developer updates, and tweets from the publisher. These translations include unique in-game terminology, and require an intimate understanding of the language of the medium. Each section is about a page long and then finish with a 200 minimum composition in German about your favorite video game. Completion within the alloted time requires near-native-level fluency and strong translational skills.
