They want to get a feel for how you are with people, and if you are an aggressive person that can be loud in the store and not be afraid to be selling all day in front of your teammates. As long as you make sure that you are very outgoing, and an aggressive sales-driven person, they will want to hire you. The internship is basically the same thing as a sales associate, but you are working more closely with the managers, and you have a higher pay.
