Let’s say you’re working on keyword bidding optimization. You’re given a dataset with two columns. One column contains the keywords that are being bid against, and the other column contains the price that’s being paid for those keywords. Given this dataset, how would you build a model to bid on a new unseen keyword?

For this exercise, imagine you have been asked by senior leadership to evaluate what has happened in the Floorcare category over the last 12 months and provide recommendations for how Dyson can grow given the competitive environment. Attached is a snapshot of market share for the Floorcare category. It includes the performance of each brand over the past 12 months compared to the prior 12 months. In 30 minutes and five slides or less, please present the following: 1) What is the role of each of the brands within the Total Floorcare category? Please visit stores and websites to understand the brands and how they differentiate themselves from other brands and in which categories they have a competitive advantage? How has this changed over the last 12 months given the data in the attachment? 2) What is the role of Dyson in each of these categories? How has this changed over the last 12 months given the data in the attachment? 3) What do you think are the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities for Dyson over the next 12 months?
