The focus was on hard skills and client-facing experience; of the soft skills abilities to handle a conflict and criticism were being asked about/tested. The question “What was my favorite/least favorite regulatory document to write and why?” was asked in both interviews.
Passing the writing test is a prerequisite to interviewing with the senior partners and management. The company really want to hire candidates who are truly passionate about medical writing, who have a track record of being trustworthy, and who are good team players and communicators. A lot of their questions are geared towards trying to figure this out about the applicant.
