I didn't find any of the questions all that surprising but perhaps the one that could be challenging if you don't have retail experience is "how would you handle a difficult customer?"

What was a time when you motivated someone?
How do you face multiple deadlines? How do you face stess? Situation in which you had to face a diversity problem? etc...
