My interview with the hiring manager and panel went well. The hiring manger informed me I did well on their two written tests. They moved me to the final interview round to meet with the director of the department, which was a difficult experience. During the call with the director, they looked at my resume and declared "you're not a writer," even though I previously worked at a newspaper and included links in my resume to my recent articles that were published in national media outlets. At the end of the call, I was asked what I didn't like about their news center.

The quick-thinking test was probably the strangest part of this particular interview- I've never really encountered something like that outside of the SATs, and certainly never encountered it in an interview setting. It wasn't particularly hard, but still stood out.
