there was a question around network protection during times of extreme weather as there had been a very hot week or two on the lead up to the interview

there wasn't any question that I consider as unexpected. Being a data center noc, no matter what position you are trying to get, my only advise is get familiar with the OSI model and think how does that collaborate with the technology of your interest.
mainly Networking questions, if you have a CCNA cirteficate it would be very easy.
