Q: In your experience, name a situation where you took an unhappy employee and turned them into a happy employee.
Why do you want to move up?
Per the previous question, all four interviewers went over the same questions over the same case study.
1. Machine Learning Case Study: given a prompt, talk through how to formulate a ML problem, staring from what data to use, how to clean those data, preprocessing, ML modeling, validation and evaluation 2. General ML question in details: mathematical derivatives, algorithms comparisons, what methods to use for XXX data or problem, etc 3. Behavior questions: why chase, what to do if meet some stakeholders that does not understand ML , etc.
The technical aspect of the process was truly outstanding. The questions asked were thought-provoking and demonstrated a high level of expertise. While the interview itself may not have been easy in terms of technicality, the overall experience was incredibly smooth and straightforward. The entire process was designed to be user-friendly and efficient, making it easy to navigate and engage with.
If I were to ask your previous managers or coworkers, what would they tell us about you?
The questions revolved around my experience in operations, my strengths, and related aspects of my role. However, given the hurried nature of the conversation, there was no real engagement or attempt to understand my expertise in depth. Instead of a thoughtful exchange, the interaction felt more like a formality rather than a genuine assessment of my capabilities.
