Since it was my first industry job after grad school, many interviews asked: why did I want to switch to industry?
The interview started with a 10-minute presentation that I had prepared in advance. Then they asked me to answer the issues raised by the evaluators and then asked about motivation and vision in general.
I was asked specific technical detail about one experiment I have performed several years ago, and I did not remember the exact answer.
They gave me a proposed project and asked me how I would design experiments to tackle the questions during phone interview. Same project and more in-depth questions were asked during on-site interview.
