The road systems in Charlottesville are totaling confusing. Also the rent is very pricey near the university. If you are willing to live farther away. it is more difficult to get to the university since there are a lot of hills. Additionally, the city is poorly planned with all the box stores located on rt 29, which frequently get backed up. this is only shopping district, so it is hard to avoid going there.
