Basically, all of the questions were either technical questions about my specific research, or questions about what I would be interested in researching

Tell us more about your research. Questions were generally aimed at determining how my research might fit within the context of other TSM's within the division. Except perhaps one or two occasions questions were not aimed at research and were a test of some sort.

The only difficult question really is articulating what you want to focus your research efforts on. At least this is true for me as I just see science as a wide open playground.
