Why did you Choose Actuary as your profession?
Firstly, introducing myself and asking some background questions. And some technical questions such as: What were the factors effecting pricing strategies in multinational company? or also sharing some numeratical examples to estimate how good you are with those process and logic of this position
There weren't many difficult questions; the hardest one was "If there is a problem with a customer or another employee how would you handle the situation?"
1. Why do want to join Garret. 2. Detailed interaction about my current roles and responsibilities. 3. Some questions about my Educational qualification, family background. 4. Some task specific questions. Familiarity with the Job profile, challenges, expectations were clearly discussed. There was 100% transparency from the interviewer regarding the Job profile and expectations from it. The Panel was very polite and endured that I am comfortable at every stage. Tip: Be honest about yourself. Don't flaunt or act smart.
What are some projects in school or outside of school that will help you in this position?
Tell me about your experience at X. What sort of work do you want to do in the future? Why are you interested in Zillow and this role? How would you evaluate pricing models?
Tell me about yourself and your background.
If an angry trader calls you and claims he had lost a lot of money due to a mistake in a price assesment, what would you do?
None. I don't think they asked me any questions besides, "tell me about yourself."
