Produce Interview Questions

8,605 produce interview questions shared by candidates

Got a phone call from one of the producers who seemed very enthusiastic about my application. The interview questions ranged from my professional production experience and what my duties were at past jobs. The most interesting part was talking about my spiritual beliefs, what series I enjoyed on Gaia, and also my own personal experiences with certain kinds of phenomenon. I was in the midst of a road trip with family when he reached out to me. He kept me on the phone for an hour and we have a fairly deep and personal phone conversation. He was enthused about having me come out to see the campus and meet some of the production team. Unsolicited he told me the bad reviews on Glassdoor were really about other departments and not his. He then told me he just wanted me to talk to another producer before they arranged a visit for me. I told him I would be driving a lot over the next couple days but that I would be happy to make time to chat. He arranged another phone interview the very next day. So another producer called me the next day. She seemed sort of sour and silent at the beginning of the conversation, which was in stark contrast to the initial interview I had just had the day before, and unfortunately she called right when I was driving through a very mountainous area. The call was dropped and she called back again and just sounded annoyed and curt that maybe it's best not to have a phone interview while driving. I mean, I previously the other producer I was in the midst of traveling but was happy to talk to his colleague if they wanted to. He seemed eager to have me interview again so I tried to make myself available. Maybe don't call me when I'm in the midst of an interstate road trip if you're so offended by conducting an interview while I'm on the road. Shoulder shrug*.
