I expected to interview with the CEO or someone in exec management. I interviewed with the COO who was not the least bit technical. Asked me how I acquired all my knowledge & skills sets. Ask me some questions about work I did previously, but when I answered he didn't understand what I was talking about since he didn't have a technical background. Then they had someone else come in to interview me who was a project manager & lower in rank who told me I was overqualified.
Assume you are working with the growth Product team at CasaOne. You have noticed that there is a spike in the number of orders coming from University towns during certain times of the year, and at the same time, there is a spike in the number of pickups/rental terminations from the same areas. You realize that while new students are moving in, existing students are also graduating and moving out. You have been tasked with improving the CasaOne presence with these students in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. What are some of the things you would do to make it easier for the students? Some of the questions you should think about answering (not an exhaustive list): 1) How do you make it easier for students to make a decision to rent from us? What value can CasaOne add to a student’s life? 2) For graduates, can we tap in on the assumption that they would be moving to a new location for a job and offer them an option to rent for their next house? 3) How do we get more orders from students? What are we expecting: 1) Notes and insights from your research around students in SF 2) Action items based on these insights 3) A plan of action with mocks/details to get the engineering team started with the execution You can use any tool(s) to put your ideas across.
