First phone round was basically screening of my resume. Mostly, the questions were focussed on my previous internship experience (FPGA design). Onsite rounds were difficult and they focussed a lot on my internship experience and hardware domain knowledge as well. Questions: 1. How does AXI-stream protocol work? (part of my previous work exp). Draw timing diagram on the whiteboard, state diagram, signals between master and slave, questions on bandwidth. 2. If AXI-Stream transfers only data, how is address transmitted to slave? (I could not answer, but the answer is TID and TUSER sideband signals of AXI-stream). 3. Static timing analysis, false path. 4. Projects on resume with full description. 5. C++ programming, palindrome, what is the best data structure for detecting anagrams (answer is maps), program for the same. 6. Clock domain crossing solutions, what is the best solution for multiple signals synchronization.
