They asked mostly behavioral questions, which was surprising because I thought they would primarily focus on criminal law questions. They asked questions like how do you handle stress, how do you manage heavy caseloads, what are your greatest strengths, etc.
How I would deal with hard clients.
The questions were standard. I don't recall any specific ones.

What if I was the defendant’s mother, and I approached you to talk about my son’s case and began to swear at you and accuse you of being a terrible attorney?
How I feel about going into the jail.
Why do you want to be a public defender
What would you say during cross?
The panel gave me a list of horrible crimes they've defended and asked if I would be able to deal with the psychological impact of such a thing.
How would you handle if you made a mistake?
