Asked me if I could pay to fly to Chicago and stay for 3 days for orientation and training at my own expense. Asked me if I could pay 100% of my personal expenses for 6 months (was told it is mandatory to receive no income for 6 months). Asked me if I could pay several hundred dollars a month in printed marketing materials.
Very standard questions, like past work history, why I think I would be successful in the position, and most importantly if I think I would fit within their corporate culture (they had me watch 2 10 minute videos before the interview).
Are you comfortable with cold calling, B2B, and understand that rejection is not towards you, but that the product or timing is not the right fit for the client.
They explained the opportunity fully, answered ALL of my many questions, made it clear this was an independent contractor position and asked: Does it sound like this is a fit for you and something you'd like to pursue.?"
