Publishing Assistant Interview Questions
582 publishing assistant interview questions shared by candidates
Why are you interested in the position?
Other than "why us?," candidates should be prepared to bring their own questions. I've done some freelance writing for the company, have paid attention to its evolution, and so I already had a bunch of questions I wanted to ask, which turned out to be fortuitous, because a couple of the interviews started with "ok, what do you want to ask me?" Lol. So bring questions, and don't be afraid to ask questions that aren't specifically about BIAB. Some of the best parts of the conversations I had came from questions only tangentially related to BIAB itself. The company has a really unique set of clients, so the questions I had tended to be as wide-ranging as the people I hope to be working with. I think it helped my cause, and I KNOW it led to some great conversations during the Skype and phone sessions.
