It was a very basic interview. Not a STAR. The Director of Purchasing wanted to go over my resume and he was very interested in my experience at an automotive OEM. He had alot of questions about what went on there and what my role was. Honestly, I felt like he was a bit jealous of my experience and education.
1) Tell me in 5 minutes about you; 2) Tell me what are the highlights of your academic path and your thesis ? 3) Tell me why did you go to study abroad and what was your main "take-away" from that experience ? 4) Tell me main difficulties and how did you orvecome them ? 5) How do you approach teamworking and teammates ? 6) Tell me so far what are your main goals ? Then the interview was more focusing on the specific position and the content of activities during the stage. There was an open discussion about several point of view and the manager asked what I think about them and explain me the company organization and company main processes. HR almost did nothing at all, just couple of questions like "5 years from now, where do you see yourself?". The second interview was focusing more on motivation to join automotive industry and purchasing perspectives.
