What question are you glad I did not ask?
The case study is about acquisition, my team has both accounting and non-accounting background undergrads. We were given one hour to discuss the case, but the individual written exercise is different for non-accounting background grads. People with accounting background were required to do the valuation on the spot, and non-accounting background people were only required to write a preliminary analysis for the acquisition deal.
What are you views on the future of accounting?
What do you know of our client base? Which do you most want to work with? And Why? What do you know about ACA? Why ACA? Something in the news that interests you and talk about it They will usually ask 2 of the 3 questions in the phone interview. Partner interview can be whatever the partner wants, but in my case it was all scripted and all just competency questions.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years and where do you see yourself in 25 years.
What do you know about the PwC framework?
Tell me about a time when you were working as part of a team? Did any conflicts arise? How did you resolve those conflicts? What was the end result? If you were working with your team here at PwC, and you had to decommission a thorium fusion reactor for a client in under a week, where would you begin, bearing in mind the PwC five-pronged flowchart of world beneficence? (this is obviously exaggeration, but it serves to illustrate the banality of the questions).
What salary do I expect?
Describe a time you've received negative feedback and how did you respond. Describe a time you've received feedback you didn't agree with and how did you respond. Describe a time you had to take initiative as a leader. What are some interesting data strategies you follow in the news that companies employ? What distinguishes PwC from the rest of the big four?
