In Software QA, ideal expectation was questions on Functional, regression, system integration, performance and load testing etc. Some automation testing. Situation and scenario based questions. But instead hiring manager opened a coding pad and asked to write codes. I felt that is this a developer interview. QA does use database for testing purposes but that is not mainly part of his job.
