Most of the questions were fairly simple and straightforward. There weren't really any that caught me off guard except maybe the fact that they asked if I had worked any type of labor jobs. I'm assuming the purpose of that was to gauge work-ethic.
My interviewers in the office were a sales engineer, a few programmers and the head of sales. Questions ranged from what I was doing to keep current in the field of programming to why I felt I was the right person for the job. Nothing that was created to trip you up, but more of a fact finding mission for them.
Jive's way of doing things is very different from what I was used to, including their classic sales cycle. What was the hardest for me during the interview process was that sometimes I simply didn't really understand what they were getting at with their questions or what they even meant. The good news is, they know that they're doing things differently from most other companies and they didn't mind that I had to ask for clarification or more context on most occasions.
