What is going on in the markets
I see that you have a friend from XXX Junior College, also applying for Nanyang Scholarship. If I only had one scholarship left, who should I give it to, and why?
There is no perfect recipe for the selection process. Admits vary each semester. As usual masters admit is easier to obtain than PhD for one thing, PhD admit is determined by the no. of scholarships available for the semester intake.

Be prepared to answer questions during your talk since most researchers will interrupt and ask you questions during your talk. It's very important to maintain a good pace with your talk and keeping it within the time limit. So practice is key. I would consider the interview as more of a discussion than one sided questioning. The one thing everyone seemed interested is where I see myself in a few years time and why I want to do a postdoc.
