A strangely worded question on the online application was: Do you believe that you can force students to learn? It was a simple yes or no choice, with no opportunity to qualify or explain your response. (That seemed like a "litmus" test question. Logically, I don't believe you can FORCE a student to learn, but to say no could be construed as not being persistent enough to stick with a reluctant learner.)
