The most frustrating part was in the hiring manager interview where they were still testing candidates by asking additional cognitive tests like "what's the likelihood of being born and dying on the same day" and, "I'm looking to open an ice cream shop, act as my financial advisor and tell me what my profits will be in year one."

Why did the current employer actually leave the anchor business?

As I met with people from IT, as well as Sales, and Finance, the questions came from all over including very technical questions about sales tools, business processes, and even some formula ideas. There were not questions that seemed out of place or off the wall.
