Phone screens were easy and basic. On site was grueling. 6 hours of interviews with relatively vague questions which they want you to answer in a STAR format but tie it to their Leadership Principles. The interviewers are like machines. They ask a question and just start typing as you talk. There is no feedback on how you are doing or just regular conversation except for the last 5 minutes where you can ask questions.

Main questions were about my previous experiences and focusing on describing particular past situations when I showed some of the Amazon leadership principles.

System Design bookseller system like Goodreads, which shows Amazon book reviews on their site (login, registration were out of scope) book search, book details, reading reviews, adding reviews were in-scope 2. Cognitive ability in program management - How would you plan to move 100's of willing and unwilling internal users to a new version of your service. (took 15 mins with various cross questions) 3. Why my service not working ? (technical troubleshooting) (took about 20 mins, went deep into routing algo, to load balancer configuration to identifying specific logs in DNS servers, authoritative name servers, root servers, server logs, LB logs, VIPs)
The interviewer started with a 10-minute monologue on herself, followed by 8 rapid-fire questions within 20 minutes. This 30-minute interview was a joke.
