One question I received, which I found very unprofessional, especially coming from a CRO was: "what is the name of your current manager?" Personal opinion: such a question should never be asked so early in the interview. Okay, if I get an offer that I am looking to accept, then yes, by all means, you can ask for my manager's name or even reach out to them for a reference. But for so early in the process, I don't want to take the risk to have my manager's profile viewed by a UK company CRO as it will be obvious for my manager what's going on.
