As it's been around 2 months that the interview happened and I've undergone several other interviews as well but I'll try to write as many as I could recollect.I would not mention the answer to al of them as they could be easily searched on the web :) First round === 30 min round around basic understanding of domain. * About yourself * What components are required to build a E-commerce website? * Payment methods supported by Reference Application provided by SalesForce Commerce Cloud SaaS. * What work I had been doing? * What are the challenges did you face while implementing a module and how did you handle it? * What are the main areas where you look when the application is not running as expected? === This would come to you as a really straightforward answer once I tell you but I really had a hard time living upto the expectations of the interviewer on this one and it was after a lot of thinking that finally I was able to tell her what she actually wanted to hear.I told her about how I would debug code and understand the module/functionality and fix it but the answer was LOGS is where you look at when the application is not running as expected. And the interview wrapped up with if I had some ques for the interviewer. Second round === 60 min hardcore techincal round * About yourself * What happens when you type google.com in the broswer and press enter * What are different type of Application layer protocols? * How is HTTP different from FTP? * Difference between GET vs POST vs PUT? * CRUD operations in databases? * What is JVM and how it is different? * Difference b/w FTP vs SFTP and HTTP vs HTTPS? *If I had ever used Linux based OS,if yes, which ones? * Tell me some commands in Linux and what they stand for? * What is my current role in the organization and the framework I work on? There were many other queations as well but I can assure you that the entire landscape of software/web development was covered and I was lucky enough to answer all his questions. Again, this ended with ques for the interviewer, which I always ask! Third Round==== Hr round with HR Manager lasted for 30 mins * What have you accomplished till date? * What is the reason for leaving current organization? * Salary Negtotiation. This was the final round which I cleared and a week later I got the offer letter and it took this much time as I asked for a 90% hike and it needed some approvals and they also wanted to check the feedback from my interviewers if I actually deserved what I asked for.
Most questions seemed to be more related to finding a good culture fit. They are also interested in your tech background as well. They are definitely really interested in hiring women and minorities.
I would imagine they would ask about my background, skill-sets, a bit more about support engineering...etc.
It was mostly about my current position
The technical questions were given beforehand. I recommend downloading the Datadog product and playing around and getting to know it in order to best prepare for the technical portion.
