Written test question for Web Designer.
The situation was uncomfortable from the very beginning. The office was dark and as soon as I walked in, I was in the middle of the work area. So the few people there looked at me and ignored me. I asked for the CEO, Doug Vort and they pointed to a door down the hall. When I arrived at the door Doug told me to wait and another guy slammed the door in my face. So I found a seat and waited. Very rude. Then we all finally met and we went to a conference room with a long table. I sat across from the lead dev (who was in shorts) and the CEO (who was in jeans) made his way to the far side to sit at the head of the table. His body language said it all. He had his legs crossed almost on top of the table and not even directly facing me. He asked me MANY unrelated and personal questions, including if my husband works, what does he do, how old is my daughter, what I want to do when I grow up etc etc.. He even said, "I'm trying to figure out what you're hiding. I know I can drag it out of you but why don't you just tell me.' I was answering all his questions directly and honestly so I wasn't sure what he was inferring to. Did he want a DNA or blood sample too? It was unbelievable. Then I told him I was only interested in remote work and that's where the interview ended. Doug said he told the recruiter NO REMOTE. Can't trust recruiters cause he told me the opposite! So Doug said, "we can talk about baseball if you want, but there's nothing more we need to talk about here". I have been to countless interviews, both as the interviewer and interviewee, and I have never been treated this way. Doug was the most arrogant and degrading man I have met in this kind of situation and I'm glad I kept it professional and it didn't last very long. The worst interview I have ever had. I would never work with this man, even if they offered remote work!
