He spoke about the project for 20 mins. Then, he started with the leadership interview question. He kept repeating that he doesn't like to ask leadership questions and he had to ask those because of company policy. He wasn't even interested to hear the answers. He said that's okay. Let's move ahead. These are not important. Within 10 mins, we were done with the leadership question. Next, he gave me a simple Javascript problem, I solved it immediately. He said he doesn't have much idea about Js so asked me to explain. I explained the code in detail. We were done in 50 mins and asked him a couple of question regarding the project and his expertise. He was happy to explain. He was very friendly and by the end of the interview I was very confident I did the interview well. Just before ending the interview he said that there was a Korean guy in the team who was very smart and they were looking for some one to match up to him. He said as soon as he saw my CV he knew I was not as smart as the other guy but the company policy says that they have to interview so many people so they decided to interview me. They already have someone who is good and they will go ahead and hire them. He said I should apply for other position. After hearing his reply, I was so annoyed. I am never applying to Amazon ever again and they can keep all the smart people. I would rather work in a company with humans than machines.
