They asked why I was interested in the role, given that I had more international experience and the position was focused on U.S.-based operations. I explained that I had originally assumed the Controller role covered the entire organization, but I remained interested because the opportunity aligned with my values, allowed for remote work, and offered the chance to contribute meaningfully to a mission I deeply respect.
A lot of behavioral questions are based on Amazon leadership principles as the hiring manager is an ex-amazonian.
