Basic of stress of knowledge. High knowledge in FEA
Telephone interview asks you standard questions: 1) How many years of experience? 2) Are you familiar with a particular software? (eg: CATIA) 3) Salary expectations? In person interview: 1) A combination of technical, HR general questions depending upon the role/ experience. (eg: when elaborating a previous experience why did we do it that way - basically to check if you know what you are talking about)
In the Phone interview with HR, they just asked generic questions such as "tell me about your past experience", "why do you think your experience is relevant to what we are looking here" etc. In the hiring manager interview, they gave me a sheet of paper with a simplified bearing model on it and asked what type of stress components would I expect to see under different loading conditions and why.
They asked about excel functions, risk management, any previous work experience and questions from my resume.
I was asked few questions from Aerodynamics too. Also be updated on GE engines and aero related activity.
Fundamentals of SOM and FEA and Vibration modal fatigue must have good basic knowledge ....exposer to analysis tools is recommended Ansys Hype mesh.
