The second interview asked you to make a presentation in which you outlined how you would use the data in the Australian National GHG Inventory report to allocate emission from the agricultural sector to dairy and wheat farming. I was told it would be 2 days worth of work (already a lot to ask). Once I looked at the data available in the report and started working on it, I realized it would easily be almost 3 days work to analyze/allocated the data and make and practice the presentation. I was already unsure of the position given that they stated up front in the first interview that I would be required to come into the office at least 3 days a week and work fro home only 2 days per week (even though its an entirely computer based research position and I already had 2 years of experience). Between the low workplace flexibility offered and the high amount of work expected before even being employed (not to mention that they could very easily later use the work I do in the interview for them without even hiring me), I bowed out of the interview procedure. I would have expected more flexibility and progressive attitude from such a large established company.
