What they really wanted to ascertain was my motivation. Why did I want to join them and what was it, specifically, that interested me about the position. The questions weren't technical per se, but much more behavioral. They really wanted to know if I would be a good fit on their team and easy to work with. They didn't want any drama, it seemed, and after getting the job, I saw that the team was filled with good people who were tight. They didn't want someone with a big ego coming in and disrupting their office environment.
