There was no interview
The most difficult/unexpected part was the skills assessment in Excel. It wasn't that it was terribly hard, it was just nerve racking to have a time limit. Plus, I'm used to reconciling bank account in QuickBooks, not Excel, so the different format made it more stressful.
There is not a formal interview. You are thought how to prepare basic taxes and there is homework involved.
Role-plays are the hardest, practice greeting people and the written garuantee.

It was just a conversation with the franchise owner. Tax school is free and unpaid, so if you attend the entire tax school without being discouraged or missing many days, then you will likely be hired.
