The in-person interview was great and the culture seems nice. The interview process continued via email where I was requested to submit several lists including classes and vendors used for CPE, the types of business and individual taxes I've worked on over the past five years and a list of every firm I've worked for during the last 10 years of being an independent contractor. It was obvious there was some uncertainty as to whether or not I could do the job, but it was disheartening the firm chose to analyze lists opposed to engaging in conversation to get a better understanding of what I had to offer. They were more concerned about where I’d worked and for how long opposed to the skill set I offer in alignment with their needs. It seems to be an environment that wants to discuss your destiny without including you in the conversation.
