Asked about experience with different areas of SEO
I was asked a lot of stuff about my former jobs, what I liked, didn't like, what worked, what didn't, what I learned from it, etc.
Lengthy. I was basically expected to put together THE SEO plan for the company without pay and without any assurance that I would be hired at the end of the process. Questions were vague and even if they said they were interested in my thought process they were very critical about what I put together. They said they were expecting to see revenue calculation which wasn't mentioned in the assignment and would be very hard without knowing the revenue model or business priority they have. I provided an elaborated deck and spent a serious amount of time to research and they were not impressed. I really like what they are trying to do so tips for next time: have more detailed questions or specialize on one of your vertical so it's easier to build a case study for the candidate.
