The first question of my second interview was more of a statement than a question. The director shared his concern about my cultural fit because of my background (from the US) and asked me how I would overcome the cultural difference. I felt the first question revealed how he judged me before the interview, and it was tough trying to turn the table.

They peppered the interview with out-of-left-field type questions. They weren't crazy how would you move mount fiji type questions, but they were asked totally randomly. It left me feeling a little uneasy and unsure of the flow of the conversation
Random sql scenarios that were situational you wouldn’t know the answer off the top of your head unless it’s something like relevant to the specific application you support

The 1st interview questions were technical, mostly around relational and non-relational DBs, and also around web apps, load balancing and HA. The 2nd interview was behavioral using the STAR way, and focusing on conflicts with customer, colleagues, and direct manager.
