The Hiring manager asked almost all the questions and others were along for the ride. He has a larger than life ego. The interview was laced with profanity including a few F bombs demonstrating insecurity, lack of self discipline and unprofessionalism. As I assured the team that my prior experience demonstrated my ability to grow into a role of COO, the Iwas actually told if I had $120 myn, I could buy the business, run it as I saw fit. When it was decided I was not a fit, the hiring manager stated so in the interview and asked the others to affirm his decision in the interview. They were subordinates and had no choice but to agree under duress. I thanked them for their time, shook their hands and was walked to the door by a visibly embarrassed Associate. When I asked, to whom I could submit my mileage, she said she had never been asked that before. Four hours later I received an email telling me they would not even pay mileage because it was not discussed ahead of time. I drove 900 miles round trip and took a days vacation to attend the interview. I did not even ask for meals or accommodations. All of this tells me these people have a tremendous amount of professional growth to achieve, and whoever does find a job at this organization had better be prepared for a lot of second guessing and an emotional roller coaster of activity as you are likely to be micromanaged to death. Beware!
