If the manager came to you with a task that needed to be done by the end of the day and have no direction on how to get it done, and the manager had to leave right away for a meeting that would take all day, how would you handle it?

I told her a time were i had an anger customer and after talking, the customer wanted to speak with my manager. I thought i would just end it there but she asked me another time you had an angry customer that you handled by yourself. That threw me off and i was not prepared for that.
