What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?
Can you explain what your design process looks like?
The personality interviews were very standard (tell us about your experience, what are your strengths, tell me about a time you...), but the technical interviews were not standard. The first round was actually crazy it was a scenario that was so far out of left field and not related to UX, I am pretty sure it was something like what would you do if you were tiny and stuck in a blender, etc.
I was interviewing for a UX job and I was asked how I design a storage redundancy system for a data center. It wasn’t really a hard question but stood out because it had nothing to do with UX or general work experiences.
Phone interview: purely about my interests. Was asked questions such as "what brand do you admire and why?" On-Site interview: The questions were unique to my presentation and was asked to apply that to something at Microsoft. For example, I showed an interest in animation, so I was asked to apply that to MS Excel, or how that could help improve X feature in Excel.
I was asked to complete a heuristic review of a cloud platform of the video conferencing service. After about 45 minutes, I was introduced to some software developers and presented my findings from the review.
I was asked through some user scenarios during the interview and asked how I would tackle them.
