In the interview it seemed like they were disappointed that I did not download their software prior to the interview. So, is it mandatory for candidates to HAVE TO install your subpar software on their computers to be considered? That is insane. Why do UX designers bother putting together a portfolio then? As far as their website, there were plenty of UX areas of improvement there but they weren’t interested in that.

When reviewing my resume - was asked why I started working so early instead of completing a traditional 4 year university, and heard "that's not what I did." Some of the PMs are ridiculously out of touch with the tech workforce, two were fine.
Interview questions included asking about previous roles, experiences in research and a few targeted questions regarding case scenarios and what would I recommend in certain example situations. Example situations included things like a company wants to increase time spent on a certain section of their web page, please role play or describe how you would present your recommendations including type of research, timeline and number of participants.
