Pros

1. Large company with significant institutional memory which help new engineers to kick start their career 2. High work ethics in compliance with International order.

Cons

1. Beaurocracy 2. Much of "core" engineering is done in their overseas hubs. Qualified Australian engineers are used as gloarified Techs. 3. ABB hardware is not much in demand in Australian Market so any " in-house" experience will not help you move up the ladder in the general industry 4. Siloed roles. Not much scope to move around within engineering teams.
